In the past we have hosted Men's Ministry Breakfasts, Womens Bible Studies, chili cook-offs, 9/11 breakfast and other gatherings, etc.
We offer weekly Sunday School and Confirmation as needed.
Timeline of when and what to talk about with youth regarding their faith:
Kindergartners: The Lord’s Prayer
Focus: Learning the Lord’s Prayer.
Worship: Kindergartners lead the Lord’s Prayer while worshipers pray along quietly.
First Grade: The Ten Commandments
Focus: Learning the 10 Commandments, learn to keep the law, and honor parents.
Worship: First graders recite the Ten Commandments.
Second Grade: What’s Fair
Focus: Learning about God’s fairness.
Worship: Second graders begin the prayers of the church with a memory verse of promise.
Third Grade: Opening the Bible
Focus: Learning why and how to read the Bible.
Worship: Third graders receive Bibles and read the lessons.
Fourth Grade: The Apostles’ Creed
Focus: Learning to say what you believe about God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Worship: Fourth graders lead the Apostles’ Creed.
Fifth Grade: Holy Communion
Focus: Learning about the Lord’s Supper (4 sessions – days/times TBD)
Worship: Fifth graders receive Holy Communion and serve as communion assistants.
Sixth Grade: Real Life Faith
Focus: Learning about faith from a hero of faith, Martin Luther.
Worship: Sixth graders lead Martin Luther’s Morning Prayer.
